Hi i currently have my host with Lunar i am using phpbb forum. I would like to switch to v bulletin. How can i do that Would i loose my .com name? Also would i be able to add logs and other things as my site now has? I am paid with Lunar till March. I would like to keep my name. Also how easy is it to manage on my own with v bulletin?

Hi Jolene, switching from phpbb to vBulletin isn't a problem. You will need to install vB on your server and use impex to import and convert the database. You will not loose the .com name. You can check vBulletin.org to see whether your mods can be found there and installed on the new forum. You won't need to change hosting. Managing vBulletin is imho easier than phpbb, but importing might be tricky for you depending on how technically skilled you are. If you can't get it to work, you can always hire someone to do the work for you.
