Question about a forum import

Hi all.

I have a old forum which is in phpbb and hosted and run by www.phpbber.com (http://www.phpbber.com) and wanted to know if there is anyway i can get all the info and user registrations from my current forum which is the phpbber one to a vbulletin hosted forum on my site

Only if you can get a complete copy of your database from them.

If i get a copy from them what data do i need to have inclued in the export they do.

Would i need to import into another version of phpbb on my own forum and then export to vbulletin or is there a tool or program i can use for it to import

Assuming it's the complete database, then you will need to restore that db to a new db on the same server you are running vB. Then you can use Impex to import that data.

Ok so in this way then if i am correct

1, phpbber-> Export Complete Database

2, Import phpbber database onto a new install of phpbb on same server as where vbulletin is on my server and make sure it works

3, Export database from phpbb on my server using Impex which will then import the database tables into vbulletin

Is the above correct?

Yes, except #3 should be 'Import' not 'Export'.
