Hi

Anybody help me out on this one.

I seem to have this problem albeit intermittently on all my VB forums, but on this brand new one it seems to never work.

In admicp I go to the forums section and in the bit that says:

Email Addresses to Notify When there is a New Thread

And I add the emails address I would like notified, for example mine and a client of mine (I use some of my VB Forum's as workspace areas for clients)

However the users are never emailed, I get the post reply notifications no problem, but not the new thread ones.

Is there some kind of override or other setting that could be stopping it working?

Regards
SH

Try disabling your Mail Queue under vBulletin Options -> Email Options.

Also make sure that the email addresses listed are separated by spaces, not commas.

Doesn't seem to work :(

And yup, they are seperated by a space.

Doesn't seem to operate correctly on any of our VBulletins.

Does it work at all with a single email?

Hi

Sorry not entirely sure what you mean, do you mean reply notifications to posts?

If so that works perfectly no problems at all.

The only issue is a notification of a new thread, I have 5 vbulletins and it doesnt' seem to work on all of them.

Many are highly modded so I presumed perhaps the fault lay there but I bought a new licence a couple of days ago and this forum is the latest version with no mods at all and it still as the problem.

Does it work at all with a single email?

Sorry just woken up, I see what you mean.

I just ran a test , created a brand new forum, added a single email to the field for thread notifications.

Created a new thread and nada, zilch, zip.

This function simply does not work for us .

Enable mail logging and test it again.

vBulletin Option -> vBulletin Options -> Error Handling and Logging.

After testing look at the mail log file and see if vBulletin sent the email out. Also check your mail server logs to see if it actually sends the email after receiving it from PHP.
