Detailed plugin guides?

Sorry, i've had a trawl around and can't find anything. Are there any detailed guides for developers of plugins? I had a look at the downloadable documentation - and although it touches on the subject and shows how to set up some parts of the mod - i'd like to know more detailed information (such as, setting up "settings groups" and suchlike)
