Dear Fellow Earthlings, ET's or whatever the case may be,

I have been assigned the task of General Admin of a vBulletin 3.6.0 forum board and have recently run into some problems.

I just read about the recommended security upgrade concerning the (XSS flaw) and the (redirection system) and believe this may be a factor concerning my case.

For the last couple of days I have been creating some new forums & sections in the Mod Section of our board and also copying threads & posts from other areas to some of the new forums or threads.

I always tried to select the (No Redirect) option when copying or moving threads or posts but might have missed it a time or two and was stuck on the default option instead (if there is a default).

I also would like to know if it is ok to make these kinds of changes or upgrades (including display order) without first putting the forum into (maintenance mode.)

To make a long story short, around 4:00 PM today the whole forum board and home page went down :o and no one has been able to access it so far.

The owner of the forum has advised us he would be contacting the super admin concerning this matter and we are trying to be patient, however impatiently. :(

Love and Respects,
McGrady

You need to post this in the appropriate forum, which is HERE (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=119).

If you can't post there, the owner of the license will need to go HERE (http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_priority.php) and add the e-mail you registered with.

To get vB support on these forums you first need to be a licensed customer and register for Priority Forum Support. To do this, please go here:

http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_priority.php (http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_priority.php)

...and enter your email address in one of the boxes. You'll need to have your customer number and password to access the page.

Once you've done this, please post in the appropriate support forum for your version.
