Hello,

I want my vB to run on utf-8 instead of latin1. With fresh vB installation, what file do I need to edit to make it install using utf8 instead of latin1 during installation? :)

There is no easy way to do this nor do I know of any instructions. You can try asking over at www.vbulletin.org.

I think it maybe possible to change via phpmyadmin under collation setting, however I would be careful as this could truncate your data

vBulletin simply uses the settings of the database when it is installed. You would need to change the database itself to use UTF-8. You can find instructions on how to do that on this third party site:
