Hello,

Need big advice about hosting for my own vBulletin forum.

Im having a forum with;
Threads: 33.850, Posts: 571.511, Members: 5.470

And about 50 - 70 users online at one time.

What is needed for above statics. When do you need VPS. Can someone give me an indication of how many users online at on time.

Thank your very much for your replies.

Kind regards,
Medina

This varies a lot, and depends on how customized your vB forum is and if you run hacks or not.

Are you currently on a shared host?

You can consider a starter VPS as of now depending on your space and bandwidth requirements. Go with VPS option where you can upgrade easily when you require more resources.

I see that your having some nice VPS-packages.
May i ask you - what do you mean by Burstable RAM.
And is it possible to try a VPS-package for lets say 2 days. Because i hope that you know its hard to find a trustable webhoster. Esspecially for vBulletin.

You may do with a good shared hosting account. Get a top end package from a reliable host. VPS means more headache managing the server, more expenses.. At this stage, I would recommend only the 'web" option of liquidweb shared hosting or somethign similar. You can consider hostgator etc. but better go with a non overselling host. The $7 shared hosts may accuse you of using too much resources.
