Take a look at this forum:

Behind the forum title "Scuba Diving Forums" There's an image (dark blue, under water, green fish) Where would one place an image in order for it to appear there? I'm running 3.7.1

They're using a background style attribute in the navbar template.

Will you elaborate? I'm in Style Manager > Navigation / Breadcrumb Templates > Navbar... is that the correct template?

Dang... I tried using a css attribute in the navbar template but the background took over the whole page's background, not just the navbar background... any ideas Zachary?
