Hi all,

I just purchased VBulletin owner's license. I am arranging for a website development company (a friend) to download the software onto their server, and then install on their end. They will assist me in setting up my topics and threads.

Anyhow, will I be able to access the administration portions from any computer to add to the content of the boards? I am hoping I can do this. Not sure if I need to arrange for access to my site with the "host" in order to do perform tweaks.

Thanks, hope that all made sense.

p.s...edit...I see here that no avatars appear. I've seen quite a few vbulletin boards with avatars and a different setup on the left side, along with signatures. What do I need to do or purchase in order to implement that on my site?

thx.

I will try and answer for you.

you will need the usernname and password for the admin account to administrate the forum properly. This password is set up when the forum is installed. You can have as many admins as you desire depending on settings in the admin panel and settings in the config.php file.

You will want access to the file system to update and change files as new versions are released or the need to add some features from vbulletin.org. Most plug-ins and products install in the admin panel but some still need file edits to function.

I hope I answered at least some of your question.

of course you can.

You can add or remove catagories or forums as you desire.

You can have a wide range of premissions and usergroup access. Your pretty much limited to what your server can handle and what your imagination can describe.
