I've checked the stats of my forum, and recently I've seen a HUGE amount of pageviews (70-80K a day) which was very weird. I looked at the list of accessed pages and I see that 99% are:
http://forums.clip-share.com/members/feelmytube-com/clientscript/vbulletin_global.js/clientscript/vbulletin_global.js/clientscript/vbulletin_global.js/clientscript/vbulletin_global.js/clientscript/vbulletin_global.js/clientscript/vbulletin_global.js/clientscript/vbulletin_menu.js/
or
http://forums.clip-share.com/members/2damnhot/clientscript/vbulletin_global.js/clientscript/vbulletin_global.js/clientscript/vbulletin_global.js/
What is that ??? Is someone trying to hack the site ? The traffic is quite alarming (2-3GB a day).
Please help me get rid of those!

Sounds like you have a combination of No Cache headers turned on and a faulty URL rewrite implementation on your site. You can turn off No Cache Headers under vBulletin Options -> Cookie and HTTP Header Options. Contact your URL rewrite vendor for support with that.

No Cache Header is already OFF.
I am using VB_SEO.
I have moved the forum from forums.scriptxperts.com to forums.clip-share.com
Never had this issue before. Do you think this is the problem ? Could you point me where to look ?

You will need to remove vBSEO and any other third-party add-ons to get official support.

I doubt that it's vBSEO's fault. And this is really not fair! I paid for the script, I should get support. The problem occurs in the files of the script, not of vbSEO. Is this the "GREAT" support I've always heard about vBulletin ? It's the first time I need it, and you simply shut the door in my nose. Awesome. Seems like the more money you make, the less you care about your customers.

The problem actually is vBSEO, its looking for your javascript files in folders that don't exsist because vBSEO has rewritten the urls to be yourdomain.com/forum-id/thread-name/
As stated everywhere on the site and in the docuements we cannot provide support for third party coding and modifications.

So how come everything worked perfectly before?

Not sure, but the problem is with vBSEO, if you used the default style you would not have the same issues.

Yeah, always blame the other. You blame vbSEO, they blame you.
The only reason I've paid $360 for 2 vBulletin licenses, when there are a ton of free forums scripts out there, was SUPPORT.
I'm sure that with your knowledge, you can solve such a problem in 5 minutes. I'm sure you've already seen this problem before 100 times. But hey, it's easy to say "not our fault", instead of trying to help a customer.
We are script developers as well, I own Clip-Share.com, the top php video sharing script. We don't treat customers this way. Anyone is trying to be unique, people customizing their scripts, 99% do that, otherwise there will be 10000 same sites. Does that mean we have to stop suppotring our customers ?
THANKS FOR NOTHIN !

Sorry you feel that way but you would not get this error with the original vB code, therefore the problem is with your add-ons. And like it or not we cannot be responsible for code we did not write and cannot support.
I'm sure as a script developer yourself you do not provide support and take responsibility for scripts you did not write or provide. :)

I have moved the forum from forums.scriptxperts.com to forums.clip-share.com

It shouldn't because vBulletin uses relative URLs for the most part. Only when you start using mod_rewrite does it become an issue. This would be related to vBSEO. However make sure that the URL is accurate under vBulletin Options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details. Be sure to include the http:// as vBSEO might have issues with an improper URL.
One way to test this is to create a directory called "vbTest". Install a new copy of vBulletin on its own database and without vbSEO. Set the settings the same except for the subdirectory name and see if you have the same issues with this test installation. I have to say though that if it was a problem in the core vBulletin distribution, this would be a much more common issue and we would have it resolved. There are tens of thousands of vBulletin's out there that do not have this problem.

I didn't have this problem either, before. It started only after I've moved the forum on a different domain (but on the same server, so same configs). And as I expected, vbSEO sent me here :|
All paths are correct. I've changed the whole database and all files for references to the old domain.
It's a strange problem because there is no visible error. The forum is functioning properly. There are no errors in the apache log.
I only see those pages in the awstats. And curiously, there's only one link, for only that member.

No, it's actually happening for all member profile pages:

Try this. Set up a fresh test forum with all the original vB files and templates - and NO .htaccess. Then if you can reproduce this problem on that forum, let me know. If not, then this will show that the problem is related to one or more changes you made, most likely vBSEO.

Obviously, installing a fresh copy of vBulletin would work fine.
I am in the troubleshooting section here of the forum, not bug reporting.
If anyone could help me, with some advises, I would really appreciate it.

Have you tried temporarly disabling vBSEO and seeing if the issue is still being reported in the error log?
Steve Machol
Tue 3rd Jun '08, 3:07pm
Then you agree that this is not a problem with the default vB code.
As we have already stated this is a problem with you add-ons - almost certainly vBSEO. The fix is to remove vBSEO and it's lines in .htaccess.
