I have a vbulletin 3.7 with 3.000 members .. 30-50 online is the normal and may sometimes reach 150 ..
bandwidth = 20-30 giga
sace = 1/2 - 1 giga
mods installed = image resizer - who visited today - spy ( for about 10 users only )
most of my users are in africa
Got kicked before from a vps with 128 RAMs for cpu usage :$

I need relatively stable vp with good support ( don't need to be perfect ) with somehow good price ..

P.S :- 512 Rams are much much more than I need and expensive for me so please don't suggest it :p

My forum installation is about the same size as yours. I moved to http://www.servint.net/ from asmallorange (ASO) and have been very happy with the service.

Managed VPS for $49/Mo., 384 MB RAM, burstable to 1 GB, 15 GB storage, 500 GB bandwidth.

Tech support has be great, even in the middle of the night.

No I don't work for these guys, just happy to find a good hosting company. :)

Whats your budget?

20-30 $ monthly maximum .. and I can't add a dollar for a year at least .. I can sacrifice for support to take less down time ( cpu usage )

You wont find a good VPS at that price. You will need to increase your budget.

Are 30-50 members online or members and guests? Also you can get a 256MB VPS with CPanel for US$ 35 a month and it should be able to take the load. Right now I am running my forum on a 384MB Cpanel VPS with around a half a dozen low traffic websites and I am barely hitting 200MB mark on my VPS.

10 minutes timeout and about 10% of onlines and guests cuz it is a private forum

Well I think for the time being you can do with a 256MB dedicated memory VPS. Just make sure you get it from a host which optimizes it (my vps with CPanel used barely 60mb when there was no account on it) and disable memory and cpu intensive programs like spam assassin etc. also once you get the vps, post server optimization query here and implement the things mentioned by Eva.

Means that unesscaary stuff which takes up RAM and CPU would be removed.

Yes my host also installed WHM Vps Optimized and it totally reduced my Ram and Cpu loading Half . Everyday my forum only use CPU 0.24% - 0.78% and the ram about 0.36% to 0.70% with 7 add-ons like Shoutbox , vbplaza ...etc ..so far im reaching 600 members ..like 10 - 20 online per time..im still watching until i reach 2000 to 3000 members .

I think add-ons usually create CPU and RAM over load..So everytime u install any add-on need watch for 1 or 2 hours...see it over load or not . Continue with Days or weeks .
