SOCIAL and Friend email going NUTS!

Please give me a method of globally shutting down the "social group request" and "you have a friend" emails.

On our board, the younger folks are going apesh__ over these features and they're driving our older users to drink!

Having message notices in the upper right corner is enough. We don't need to go nuts with email.

That is a user preference:

User CP -> Edit Options

Receive Email from Other Members
Receive Friendship Request Email

We need to default "Receive Friendship Request Email" to unchecked, post haste!

I don't see any option to set the default for that user preference, but you can set the other one in your:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> User Registration Options -> Default Registration Options -> Display Email
