Right now, I am upgrading from 3.6.8 to 3.6.10 because I am going to have a big event on the board tomorrow and am scared to go to 3.7 yet.

I do EVERYTHING as it says in the instructions, it says "next, next, next"

and yet, when I get done?

It is still vBulletin 3.6.8

The same thing happened with the 3.6.9 upgrade, so I thought... hmmm. Let me just try to .10 upgrade

I really do not even know where to begin to trouble shoot.

It still says:
Latest version available: 3.7.0 (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1549690). You are currently running vBulletin version 3.6.8 Patch Level 2.

Halp?
I did all these steps.
Upgrading from a previous version of vBulletin 3
Close your board via the Admin Control Panel.
Upload all files from the 'upload/' folder in the zip, with the exception of 'install/install.php'. Then open the 'upload/includes/' folder. In this you will find config.php.new. You should rename this to config.php and then open it in a text editor.
Open your browser and point the URL to http://www.example.com/forum/install/upgrade.php (where www.example.com/forums/ (http://www.example.com/forums/) is the URL of your vBulletin). You should now be automatically forwarded to the appropriate upgrade script and step.
Follow the instructions on the screen. Make sure you click next step or proceed until you are redirected to your Admin Control Panel. Here, you can reopen your board.

Another discrepancy in the documentation instructions online and the ones in the upgrade.

Do I do this or not?

upload - This folder contains the vBulletin files that need to be uploaded to your web server.

You should now rename the 'upload' folder to match whatever name you gave to the directory containing your vBulletin files on your web server. In this example, the folder containing the vBulletin files is called 'forums'.

NOTE: If you have changed the names of the 'admincp' and 'modcp' directories in your config.php file, be sure to make the same change to these subdirectories prior to uploading.

Just overwrite stuff inside upload folder rather.. so that if you have any modification files they still stay there.
