Login Attempts exceeded error message

Hi, several of my users have gotten this message telling them to wait 15 minutes and try logging in again. Even after waiting more than 15 minutes, they still can't log in.

Is this a known issue?

Is there a way to increase the allowed log-in attempts so that they won't get this message at all?

If they are currently locked out is there a way for me to allow them to log in again immediately?

This can happen if you're behind a load balancer or similar which makes all the users have the same IP.

You can either adjust your load balancer to make sure that the correct IP address is forwarded, or disable the strike system globally in your vBulletin Options.

Thanks Colin, that makes perfect sense. We were all in the same classroom behind the same firewall at the time. Several of the students had logged in incorrectly so the strike system would have picked up on that. I just turned it off in the general settings...
