I currently have a leased version of vBulletin, I paid $85 for it. I got an email from vBulletin stating that I have now had vBulletin for 40 days. They also mention that they are giving me the option to upgrade my vBulletin to an owned license for the low price of $85. I understand that with a leased license I will have to pay $85 each year. But why wouldnt they give you the option to pay $75 for the upgrade to total $160? Why charge that extra $10?

I think the prices have gone up. Something like that. A leased licence is now $100. Something like that.
I gave up trying to understand all the rules ages ago. I've had leased licences since 2003 and that's all I'll ever have. Owned + renew this + this expires + that doesn't expire....too confusing and for someone like me too much room to screw up. So I just stick with leased. And it might cost me an extra million dollars over the lifetime of my forums, but on the other hand I might get run over by a bus tomorrow so I don't care.

That has always beed the price. Ir costs us more money to process two transations than one.
Note: Effective June 2, 2008 vBulletin products and services will have a new pricing scheme. You can read about this here:
