issue with alignment of new thread & new reply

it seems that, for some reason, my alignment is off on my new thread & new reply pages. can anyone lend some suggestions?

Probably a custom template. Try this. Create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Then change to this style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

If you do, empty your browser cache, close all browser windows and try again.

No, it does not occur with a new style.

Then one or more of your custom templates is causing this. You should revert you custom templates, then redo your changes.

This is a really stupid question and I'm 99.9% certain I know the answer but with my issues of late with seemingly simple things, I don't want to make any assumptions.

Which templates do I need to be looking at?

Start with newthread and newreply, but it could also be one of the other templates.

i fixed it. i think it was just that my smilies were 4 columns. changed it to 2 and all is well.

eta: there was an issue with my newthread template and that corrected the alignment of the "Title:" field.
