Search not working.

Hello, when i try and search my forum using the search.php page my search results come up empty. Even when i search for somthing i know is in a threads post or thread title. Anyone have a clue to whats going on? The weird think is for some stuff it does work but the majority of the time it does not.
i am using vbulletin search on vb3.7

Wow so dumb found out the answer. had to rebuild search index. However this brings up another question. As i get more posts and threads do i have to continue to run this task to enable new searches?

No it should maintain itself. You only need to rebuild after major maintenance, like pruning a forum.
