Hello Everyone,

I have been using Joomla with SMF (Joomla 1.X with SMF 1.1) for a while now, and have minor issues here and there (but lots of them) that I needed to fix manually every once in a while. And, have been patiently waiting to have a stable/good "forum" integration;)

Hence, I am planning to move to Joomla 1.5 with vBulletin, and really am desperate for a stable + properly (fast + stable : as much as possible) working forum integration.

So, can you please recommend what is the best way of getting this? Which integration path should I choose? What component/module should I use, etc?

Thanks a lot.

Hi there.

I use the bbpixel bridge, which is fairly inexpensive and does the job nicely.

There are no official integration modules to integrate vBulletin with Joomla although there are a number of different ones available at our modification site www.vbulletin.org

For more information about which one will suit your needs the best I recommend that you post in the Pre-Sales forum at that site.

I have a certain experience with Joomla/vBulletin, and I would personally recommend not to integrate the forum with Joomla but rather just leave it as a "separate entity". vBulletin have so much options within itself that it's best (imo) to separate it into its own page with an easy link-back to the frontpage.
