converting from another forum

hi everybody,

i'm a big fan of vbulletin i allready have a forum running it.

I love it so much that i want to change my other forum aswell, it's SMF.

I know how to convert and such but i have one question.

My forum is installed in the root directory if i upload vbulletin to the root directory i'm pretty sure i'm gonna run in alot of trouble.

Could you give me some advice on how to proceed? I really would like to have vb installed in the root directory and not /forum or something like that.

We always recommend doing a couple of test imports before removing your existing forum when importing existing data to vBulletin so you would need to use a directory initially and then transfer vBulletin to the root directory when you have completed your import and are ready to delete your old forum. We will be happy to provide detailed instructions for the best results via a support ticket once you have purchased vBulletin.

vBulletin does run fine in the root directory as you can see at the sites in my signature (SuperClickers is in a forum directory but all the others are in the root directory)
