Hii - I buy a plan in Linux - and I want to move my board to the Linux server...
Now I am hosting in IIS server.
I want to know how can I do that - and what are the steps I have to make?

Thank you!

I would create a working database prior to a move and copy over all, then test database on the linux and test database before closing down the other board. ( I wonder if that can really work with (DNS) is still pointing to other server you want to move away from.) Moving Servers (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/moving_servers)

I will not close the previous plan of course.
I want to test the Linux first...
The question is... how to do this...
I think that it should go like this!

1. Download all the board to my computer (custom avatars, profile pictures, uploaded files.....)
2. Move them to the new server...
3. Change the config.php file...
4. Update or new installation?

or just make a new installation in the new server and then upload all the users files? and import the database?

Do not know if you have attachments in a file system and you can read what Steve Machol states about it.

DNS will have to be pointing to other for testing, this is once you have made a working and tested backup and test the backup on new database (not the database that is working on the live site) and then if all is well, you piont the DNS to other hosts server and then restore backu; on newly create database and make sure you have uploaded the exact file structure you had before onto the linux server. If you get stuck, just keep on asking until you have a working site on new host. I do not have experience with file systems and server moves.
