Deleted User, PMs still there?

I had a spammer register and spam via private messages, i deleted the user...but their pms are still in peoples mailboxes...is there a way to delete them.

I figured deleting them would erase them from the board...guess not :(

Private messages sent and received by a user can only be deleted when the user exists. As you have deleted the user the PMs that they have sent can no longer be deleted.
