If i am going to upgrade from v.3.6.9 to 3.7
Should i delete any of the 3.6.9 files first, or does the upgrade do it automatically?
Don't want to load my server up with a bunch of unnecessary files.

Just thought that was a valid question. lol. :D

DON'T DELETE ANYTHING! When you upload your new files, CHOOSE OVERWRITE to overwrite the old files with the new ones.

As dodgeboard.com stated. just try uploading the new files to your installation. It will then prompt you if you'd like to overwrite the file(s). Choose "Yes to all" (or a variation of that) and it'll replace onyl the fiels that need to be replaced.

Thus, you won't have to reconfigure your config.php or lose your modifications. Once it is done, run /install/upgrade.php to upgrade the database and you're good to go.

Be sure to turn off vBulletin (via vBulletin options) to save your member's grief as well as prevent errors/interruptions during the upgrade. Once you're done with the upgrade steps, delete /install/install.php (if not already deleted) and reopen your board (turn vBulletin "on" via vBulletin Options)

It's that simple :)
