How do dates work in Vbulletin?

I was looking at the user table, and I see that the password date is 2008-05-04, which is very obvious. Join date, last activity, last post, etc. are all stored as integers. My join date, for example is, 1209845100. How is it that Vbulletin gets to this number to represent my join date?

vBulletin stores dates in unix time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix_time
