¡Hello!
I want to know from the site5 users their experience with them.
I want to install VB on it, but i dont know nothing of them, and i want to know if some Vb user use them.
I search and read some problems with site5.com and VB and i want to know if is fixed.
If you arent user or you use this host in the past, please give me your feedback about them.
Thanks.

I have a vB on a site5 site, they sometimes get too many mysql connection errors, but they seemed to have fixed it.

was on site5, just switched to hostpro.
Too many connections, had downtime for a day, etc. And there is no phone number to contact them. Just email. Their ICQ support is comical. It gives the illusion that you can chat with them live, but they are either never on, or more likely 'invisible'.
The site I was working on was choking on 4 users on the board.
Haven't had any problems at all with vServers/Hostpro.

Yeah, Site5's support (as wonderful as some people claim) is absolute crap. They take forever to answer emails (either to their sales address or their support desk - they have no direct support email address) and their "help desk" is a joke, IMO.
Technically, it isn't too bad - I got vBulletin up and running without a hitch. I've not had a MySQL error of any kind (save for a few while running phpMyAdmin) on my server.
I kind of want to move to a different host, but no one that I can see can match the price and technical quality (NOT support) of Site5. They have been down a LOT in the past (due to their connection with Burst and Qwest) but they've been up since I moved there (late June).
At any rate, I run a small BBS (less than 300 members and 10,000 posts) and that's the most server-intensive thing on there. If I need more horsepower, then I'll be prepared to spend more for it (my site is 90% hobbyist).
