I'm leaning towards VPS service and have narrowed my search to KnownHost and StartLogic based on reviews here and elswhere..

They seem like good choices, but I need confirmation.... Can I go wrong with any of the two listed?.. I'm a newbie, so I'm trying to make this as less of a pain as possible, but very much want to learn as much as possible.

If you get a VPS with a control panel (CPanel or Plesk), knowhost vps would be fully managed i.e. you need not worry about managing server or installing apps, they will do it for you. A few days back my members were complaining that our forum loading time was a little on the higher side, I spent almost an hour chatting with Paul (CTO) over emails to fix this issue and finally we narrowed down the problem (he did :D) and fixed it.

I run my website with Startlogic and I am using their shared server plan "Pro Logic Plan".

With this said, is anyone running Vbulletin with Startlogic hosting and will it work with their Pro Logic Plan? I would like to know that it works with Startlogic, because I am having a hard time getting it to work. But I know it is for sure me messing up, because I do not know what I am doing. If I know it will work, then I will keep trying to make it work.

Does that plan inclueds php and mysql? If yes then there shouldn't be a problem unless you are doing something wrong or their server have some problem.

Here are the software supports of their servers; CGI-BIN and Library YES PHP 4 & 5 YES Perl Scripts YES MySQL Databases 25 SSL Secure Server YES SSI Management YES FrontPage 2000 / 2002 / 2003 Extensions YES Choice of Shopping Carts YES
I don't think many hosts today don't offer MySQL and/or PHP on their servers

Plan VPS XLtx
I am already 4 months with KnownHost and everything is perfect I, a support super-fast, recommended :)
