I don't see contacts, edit profile, or view profile. They are blank where they're supposed to be, but you can still click on the blank area and it's go to the proper section. Any ideas?

That is probably either a style problem or a language problem.
1) Try to reproduce it on a default style:
Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> [Add New Style]
Create a new style with no parent. Then click that style's name in the Style Manager to view your forum with that style.
2) Reimport the language. First upload the original install/vbulletin-language.xml file from the zip file. Then go into the do_not_upload folder in the zip file. Upload the tools.php file to the install directory on your server. Run the tools.php file in your browser and select the option to reimport the language. Delete the tools file when you are done.

I was also wondering about the reverting of templates. I reverted them all and then went back in and added the custom templates back into to them and had problems again seeing all the changes.
Here is was I have nodified. Maybe this will help in regards to the quick links. I also noticed when you click on a user name and the box pops up to make selections like view profile, pm user, etc.. There are blank sections their as well.

Have you identified this as a style problem yet? Try to reproduce it on a default style:
Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> [Add New Style]
Create a new style with no parent. Then click that style's name in the Style Manager to view your forum with that style.
If you don't have the problem on the default style then you know it's a problem with your custom templates. At that point you need to systematically revert your custom templates until you isolate the problem.

I have the same problem. My quick links do not show the new options. But I am confused by the revert process. Even though the upgraded version is newer, it appears it is called the old template. If i revert to the old (really newer) vb3.7.0 template and don't like it can I change it back again? I've never had to do this with earlier upgrades. I know it's because of all the new functionality but the process is not clear.

When temporarily reverting templates to isolate a style problem, you can just copy and paste the contents of your custom templates into a text window. Then you can paste the old contents into the template again if the revert doesn't fix it.
