My skin is currently for 3.6.8, will it work on 3.7?

It depends on the style. I have two styles on my 3.7.0 forum. One was created for 3.6.4. and primarily contains color and default image changes. This worked without issue. The other is a highly graphic layout with new formatting structures and a customized navigation bar. It was developed for 3.6.8 and I have to make some minor changes to get it working in 3.7.0.

My suggestion is to create a test forum as allowed under the license agreement and try your style on that forum so you can refine any issues before you go live.

(...) It was developed for 3.6.8 and I have to make some minor changes to get it working in 3.7.0.(...)

Could you suggest how to make those changes? I'm hesitating as to where to start. Currently, the steps I'm taking are:

- Upload the 3.6.8 style on a 3.7 test board
- Revert all templates
- Compare the look of the reverted style with how the template looks on a 3.6.8 install
- Apply the changes in template edits from the 3.7 test board ACP to make the reverted style look like the 3.6.8 install style.

Will this work? Are there steps that I am missing or doing wrong? And is there a simplier way to do the update?

I use the Find Updated Templates tool and it gives me a line by line comparison of the templates which allows me to copy and move over any changes from the new templates to my old templates. If the changes are extensive then I revert that template and reapply my customizations.

Thank you. I'll try that

One more thing... Do I only need to apply the template updates to the ones mentioned under "Out-of-Date Custom Templates Found!" in ACP Home? Does the security token template update come into play here?

The "Out of Date Templates" and the "Find Updated Templates" tool are the same thing actually. You should review each template listed. If you can live with your current template then save it to remove it from the list. If you apply changes then saving it will remove it from the list.
