Jerry,
I ran across an interview you had a while back, and was wondering on the status of a CLI ImpEx:

I have a to do list for Version 2, a clean up of the OO code and more correct use of design in a few area that I'm not at all happy with it, such as error handling. I'll be looking into handling other interfaces such as CLI. ImpEx also needs to be extended to allow language packs for the purposes of translating the ImpEx interface.

:) I'm sure you're a busy busy man ... but I know I'm not the only person wondering.

Thanks!

I think if I remember jerry stating correctly the CLI was more memory intensive, though I could be completely wrong.

Due to the way ImpEx 1 evolved the designs and efforts for the CLI were tested and shelved due to little or no speed increases.

With the next major release of vBulletin, it is planned that ImpEx will be re-written to version 2.0 to take advantage of the changes in the main system and become more integrated with the data handling.

So when that happens, the CLI will be revisited to allowing a menu driven system to configure the modules of the import, then one "go button" so you can wander off and have a coffee and not worry about browser reloads.
