Hello

I have just bought a VB license and sucessfully downloaded and installed the latest stable version: Version 3.6.10.

It is meant to replace a SMF forum.

I have used Impex but could not import users. (Impex says import was ok, but I find no users on VB)

Impex scripts say:
- SMF 1.1.2 (and mine is 1.1.4 - latest stable version)
- VB 3.6.9 (and mine is 3.6.10 - latest stable version)

Should I update SMF to 2.0 or downgrade VB to 3.6.9?

I have used Impex but could not import users. (Impex says import was ok, but I find no users on VB)

And you have followed all these steps :

http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/impex_cleanup

If ImpEx imported a user, without displaying an error, the user is there.

Thanks Jerry. Yes, Impex says all was imported ok and I have alse check the db and they are there. They just don't show up. Also all threads and forums are empty, maybe because they don't have a user to be assigned to?!

Can an upgrade/downgrade solve it?

I am able to see threads now, it was a permissions problem. The only issue now are users...

I have a script that can re-match the userid's to the usernames, though I'll need an email address to send that to so you can use it, best start a support ticket and ask for me.

Then I dare say you haven't been though the clean up steps and set up the usergroups.
