I saw that gold is coming out soon. I am really looking forward to it.
the problem is, my site is still running on php 4.4.7 and mysql 4.1.22
when I asked my web host (who is also a close friend and admin on my board, but really knows very little about vb) if it is something that I had to upgrade or he had to upgrade for me he explained that we have a backup service that might not support the new versions of php and mysql.
my question then is this:
has anyone ran any of the beta's or rc versions of 3.7 on old php and mysql? if so, did you find many problems doing so? and if you did, what kind of problems did you have?
my host is going to see what he can do, but if he cant upgrade either just my site, or cant get the backup service to work with the new versions then I might have to stick with 3.6 :( and I dont want to do that...
not that I have anything against 3.6... my site has ran great on it since it's launch a little under a year ago. but 3.7 has so many nice new shiney features! :p
