View Full Version : BBcode in Profile Fields?

Odd question, but is it at all possible to include BBcode in a specific profile field with 3.7? I'm messing around with my test board running RC 2, and I want to display a member's recent contributions to the website in a block along the side of their profile that is moderator editable only. All I need is the ability to display links, and that's really about it. If it's not possible with the current setup that's OK, I'll just need to make a plugin for it..., but finding a way to do so by default would always be a nice thing :).

Any ideas?

To Clarify:
I just need to know about the BBcode, the rest is already done ;).

Sorry, there is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

Oh well, I tried. I may as well just leave it out then; I was planning on adding a few things to the current profile setup once I update my community to 3.7, although my members will be getting enough new features that don't require me to throw away my support I don't believe they'll care.

Thanks Steve!

I hope this wouldn't be too hard to do, but if there was anyway to add BBCODE and the WYSIWYG editor options to the profile fields, it would be fantastic.

If someone know how to do as Mr_bob described, I would be realy happy if you tell me about it.

I´m also very sorry for my bad English.

As per post #2 you need to ask over at vbulletin.org.
