I've been trying the vb blog on this website and a skin site ..
How do I ...
Stop the ugly breaking of fixed width templates by images?
This really needs addressing ... has any one found a fix for this?

Try using Image Resizer bbcode modification in over at vBulletin.org or request one be made for the Blog.

Not really the answer.
If I have large images in my gallery (Photopost) the (fixed width) skin stretches around the image.
The blog seems to break out of the template margins.
I've asked on Extremepixels where I've tried a blog and there the problem is recognised but I need some help from vb why this is happening, then we may be able to work out a hack around it.

It's just how HTML works.
Even if you use a fixed-width table and put in an image larger than that, the table cell will stretch to the size of the image.
There's nothing you can do about it other than using smaller images that fit inside the width of the table.

It only seems to happen with the blog.
Images in threads and in galleries don't seem to break the skin margins - they stretch.

I see what you're saying now.
I have seen that happen at another forum that I was a member of that used an older version of vBulletin (I think it was 3.6.0).
I thought it was strange too and could not figure out why it was happening then either.
Good luck finding a solution! :D
