I know that PHPBB2 has a hack called phpbb fetch all. It pushes content to the front page and allows you to integrate applications into the forums database, to both use the forum login accounts for other areas of the site, as well as to push news to the forums.
I'm sure that vBulletin has something(s) similar to this. If so, is it apart of vBulletin, a 3rd party mod/hack or an in house mod/hack?
I am currently running PHPBB2 and want to go to PHPBB3, but there is no such application. So I might as well go with another board if I have to start from scratch any how.
BTW what is the best CMS to use with/outside of vBulletin?
Any my front page news is currently in a "News" sub forum. The actual news posts are thread, comments are replies. It is all inside of the phpbb2 database.
If I upgraded to vBulletin, and pointed A CMS to the "News" sub forum, would it be able to build news? Or would all old news be lost?
Thanks!
