I've been using vbulletin on my friends forum. It's excellent but is it really worth saving up for. I can get enough money easily. But is it highly customizable?

Fantastic software, I really enjoy working with it so yeah I'd say it's worth it.

LOL well, maybe it wasn't such a good comparison now that I think of it. I mean, it could also mean VB is buggy as hell too. :p

I have used a lot of forum software and vbulletin is by far the best on the market.

I am trying to get a new forum going using a phpBB3 board because I thought I would save a few bucks but Ive spent almost a week trying to mod the foolish thing. Just adding a portal has taken me all day vs 2 mins on VB. Im dumping the phpbb one and buying another vb liscense. This will be my third it is so much easier with VB

I only wish Id ditched phpBB 2 years earlier...

VB really is excellent :)
