Hi all,
please, someone can help me for the attached external images (like image shack) in the posts?
I don't find the max dimension (height - width ) for this,
if this posted with nothing limitations, the users can post a biggers images.....

Where is this option? :(

There is no option in vB to limit the dimensions of pics added with the [img] tag.

ACP
vBulletin options
Message Attachment Options
Resize Images
Set to yes.
It's automatic from there. I found it fits the screen according to resolution.

That is for attachments. It does not apply to pictures posted with the [IMG] tag, which are not attachments but links to pictures on other sites. :)

Is there any particular reason why there is not this option? Obviously if there is a link to an image hosted on another site and our server has to resize the image every time someone vies that page, there are some resource issues. Are there any other reasons?

What about having an option so that when a member uses the img tag, in the backend, vb copies the image to a folder resizes the image and works with only that image from then on out?

Sorry I do not know why any of the literally tens of thousands of possible options are included or not. I do believe this one has some coding drawbacks but I don't know what they are. The bottom line is that this is not available with the default vB code.

There's no reason for that kind of response Steve. I could've reworded my original question a bit better though, so my apologies if you took me the wrong way. I was just asking if you knew of any reason(s):)

thanks for your quick reply though!
