Hi,
I am wanting to change the layout of the postbit, please note that I am not using legacy. What I would like to do is move the avatar to the right (no issue). However I would like the text in the actual post to wrap around the avatar and continue on below it.
Is this possible ? I'm not really after someone to give me the code to do it, purely just after some direction in how I can achieve this? Here's an image of what I'm trying to achieve, any advice or help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Joel

Here is some interesting reading on CSS floats:
http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2007/05/01/css-float-theory-things-you-should-know/
http://www.autisticcuckoo.net/archive.php?id=2004/12/10/floating
http://www.bigbaer.com/css_tutorials/css.float.html.tutorial.htm
There's plenty more. Just google "css floats".

I released a mod on the org that does this.

I released a mod on the org that does this.
So, why not link to it, or give a name to it so it can be found easily?

Because I didn't know if that was allowed on here and all you have to do is check my profile on the org to find it.

I just took a look at the mods you have authored and I don't see anything that addresses the legacy-postbit or postbit templates. You do have a mod that aligns images left or right, but you don't use CSS floats (in fact, you use html positioning elements where you should use additional in-line styling - or instruct the user how to add extra CSS to cut down on the code you subject search engines to) and that mod in no way would help .Joel to do what he wants with his postbit.

Well, that is a bbcode left and right text align and it does exactly what he is looking for without the float. I use it in the calendar and postbit. It works fine for me. And has since 3.5.4.

You apparently didn't read the original post. He wants to modify the postbit. You are telling him to use a modification that was intended to modify the display of images inside a message. Not the same.

Hi Guys,
I spent a night playing and playing, finally getting the postbit to where I want it to be. It was a lot of playing and modifying the postbit template, however i'm nearly to where I want it.
Appreciate the help, Problem is now solved.
