Hi,
I am very interested in doing some colors on the bars of the forums. I have seen some real good colors combination such as these, especially those with shades.
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
I wonder how do they put the colors in this way> i know many of you guys know how to do this. i am really new at this and hopefully anyone here is kind enough to guide me.
All i can do is just a plain one color over the bar.
ps: sorry , the photo does not seems to appear, only the links is shown.

If it's gradient colouring you're looking for, you'll need to use an image for the background rather than just a hex value.

If you look at the category strips in AdminCP, you'll see that it uses the following as the background value on the default style:
#869BBF url(images/gradients/gradient_tcat.gif) repeat-x top left

#869BBF url(images/gradients/gradient_tcat.gif) repeat-x top leftI think i cannot just change the colour code. I have to change the gradient image too, don't i? I try changing the colour code but nothing happen.

I have done that but it doesn't pickup the gradient image only a full colour.
You can see the gradients at:
www.animeonline.net/images/gradients/gradient_tcat.gif (http://www.animeonline.net/images/gradients/gradient_tcat.gif)
www.animeonline.net/images/gradients/gradient_thead.gif (http://www.animeonline.net/images/gradients/gradient_thead.gif)
And it not working at:
www.animeonline.net/forum.php (http://www.animeonline.net/forum.php)
Strange as it was just working before I did the upgrade to 3.6.9.

Thanks for your help. Yeh, mine is working now too. Was a prob with the image. Strange as it worked fine in 3.6.8 but when I upgraded to 3.6.9 it broke. Weird.
Cheers.
