Hello,
I was wondering if there was a quick and easy way to modify the showthread page to display usernames and such in a column at the right hand side of their post instead of on top of their posts. Or would i have to change the entire template for that?
Thank you

I would edit the postbit_legacy template to achieve that. You would need to take the information on the left and move it to the right, then set "Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template" to yes in the vBulletin Options.
You could also edit the postbit template, of course, but it would be less hassle to do the necessary edits to achieve what you want in the legacy template (since it is already vertical).

Thank you for your reply. Can you please be a little more specific ;) I've had VBulletin running for a day only :p Where do i go exactly and what do i click?

Hi Brueskie
Is there any chance you (or someone else?) could give any pointers as to what exact modifications that are neccessary in the postbit template in order to do this using the quoted technique? My reason for asking is that half my users like the legacy and half the other. My idea is to copy the standard templates (which we use for simplicity) and then have two forum styles available that reflect the two different positions.

That will not work for VBulletin 3.6 :(

Just realized myself. Aparently the phpinclude_start option is long time gone and there is a new king in town called hooks. Tried some variations of that as well but I am not skilled enough on vB to sort it. :( Sorry. I put faith that someone else might be able to give some pointers on this.

I'vedone some more reasearch on this topic without success. Just thought I'd let you know that I am using the approach of having two different styles (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showpost.php?p=569279&postcount=2) that my users can choose from. Haven't given up on the user option model though as I think that is much preferable. Let us know if you have any luck will'ya Armee. :)
