The new lightbox effect (or is it thickbox? I get confused) is really cool. BUT, why cant there be a slideshow effect? Instead of having an automated slideshow, just add a "next" or "back" button on the image.
A mod by mini-2 over on vbulletin.org uses this slideshow effect and it is really nice. The slideshow is a lot better then having to close and open each image. The slideshow experience is a lot more user friendly, and nicer looking then having to click on every image in the thread.
