How long will it take for Jelsoft/VBulletin to implement these features and realize their benefit to forum owners?

I would like my forum to have static URL's and an archive that works like a site map instead of duplicate content. Is Jellsoft or VBulletin ever going to make these type features a part of VBulletin or is the world going to keep having to hack their forums apart with outside scripts?

People want these features in their forums but not everyone wants to hack apart their sites only to have to upgrade them every week or so.

Why not make some good new features in Core VB and have a better product?

You aren't the only person to make suggestions. lol

I'd imagine this will be addressed in vbulletin 4.

As previously stated, this has already been suggested. Unfortunately, 3.7 is on it's way to becoming gold, and it's already been stated that they won't add any more features.

This might be a feature in 4.0, but it might not.

Made that request some time back, didn’t even get a reply for it! Heck even wordpress lets you choose URL structure and as for duplicate content, then can easily fix it.

Well said..... Pretty pathetic if you ask me...
VB has been around for much longer.

I'm sure with 4.0 vB will take a look at it.. because I know other boards eg. IPB will implement a similar feature and therefore vB will have no choice.. especially if they want to stay in the competition.. but in the near future I see it happening..
