Hi,
One of my customer wants to make a forum site on football fans and i expect ~1000 concurrent users at long term -if project succeeds also-.
I want to use vBulletin. What i want to learn is the server numbers and features needed for vBulletin for this usage? Not an exact number but an approximate idea to determine the costs of the project.
I want a guess on info like
How many database servers? Whether they are Clustered/Mirrored.
How many web servers, load balancers?
According to your experiences let say on a default installation of vB.
The following question can also help me to analyze the need of total usage capacity
How many concurrent users can
one Pentium 4, 3Ghz, 2GB RAM, Centos, handle concurrently (mysql is locally hosted)
or
Two Pentium 4, 3Ghz, 2GB RAM, Centos (one for webserver one for mysql)
handle?
You can pick the favorite one you feel confident.
Results should not be an exact match but i want to get an overview idea on capacity consumption of vB.
Or you can share an overview of your system information and its usage.
