How to deal with spam accounts on current forum?

I'll be migrating an active phpbb forum to vbulletin in the near future and need to know the best way to deal with about a thousand spam accounts. phpbb doesn't have an easy way to do mass account deletions without adding a MOD. Is there an easy way to delete multiple accounts in vbulletin, and if so, should I migrate all the accounts and delete them in vb or deal with them in phpbb before migrating?

Can you put all of those accounts into a separate usergroup? If so, you could easily delete them all after the import.

You can also mass move them into a seperate thread then delete the thread.
