another config.php help thread

I cant get this config.php file thing working. I'm about to pull my hair out with this, and the link to "create a config.php" file isnt working for me

I dont even know if i'm putting the right data in! UGH!

You haven't really said what isn't working. Perhaps you could start at the beginning.

Ok, I have everything uploaded on my ftp stuff. I've never been able to connect to my database and I used to be able to type in the install/install.php and get to step 3, now i cant even get to that, when i type it in it says that the config.php file doesnt exist.

One thing that i have noticed is that there is a /html/forum and i dont remember ever putting in anything that said html so is that automatic or did i miss something

where can i find the original script for the config.php file i maybe have messed it up soemhow i dunno.

I dont even know if i'm putting in the right stuff. For database - on godaddy.com i named my database, for example - ASDF - so do i just type in ASDF for database?

Almost resolved, as member wants a redirect, but would be easier to just move files and or reup to same directory as folder 'forum'. I already somewhat explained it on other thread.

It was the localhost issue with godaddy.
