I am trying to install vB 3.6 on my server using IIS-

So far i have installed mySql, PhP version 5.2.5

I set up the database with the instructions. and set up the config file

I can pull up http://localhost/install/index.html (https://www.vbulletin.com/link.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%2Finstall%2Finde x.html)

but i cant pull up

http://localhost/install/install.php (https://www.vbulletin.com/link.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%2Finstall%2Finst all.php)

CGI Error

The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.

I know it has to do with my IIS setup, and php, but i cant find out exactly what is wrong with it

Any help would be appreciated thanks!

I had a bear of a time getting PHP and IIS 6.0 to place nice together, and then I found this:

http://www.videotutorialzone.com/web-technologies/php/installing-php5-on-windows-2003-and-iis6.html

This is an excellent setup video, it might at least narrow down what the issue is.

Ok, if you want I can shoot you my personal email address, and we can troubleshoot, and if we get it resolved, we can post the results here for others.

It works!

Have no idea what i did, except for 8 hours of messing around with it

I uninstall ed everything, and started over...and somehow now it works...

i didnt change anything (that i know of)

So i guess if you run into this problem, just start over...i think it had somthing to do with user rights
