Ok..I've been working for HOURS now. I can't seem to get my stuff correct. Im using GatorHost.

I named a folder directly in my server as said to do in the install instructions. I named it forums. Can anybody post me a screenshot of how you configured yours in your server?

For my database name the Tech Support at Gator said name it this: gator3**.hostgator.com

For my master database he said leave it at default "localhost". Im so lost right now. Anybody thats using the gatorhost can you help me?

I'm pretty sure that's not the correct database name.
Have you already created a database for your forums?

Yes. I just got it going. The Tech Support at GatorHost worked me though it. Although, the first support tech said vBulletin would not work with GatorHost...But the rest seemed to be very knowedable and helpful people!

fyi and anyone else who finds this post :) Here's the format. I have domains on 3 of the servers and each one does the same. So any others should probably follow the same.

username = loginid_dbuser
database = loginid_dbname

then the normal password for the user. Loginid is the name you log into your control panel.
