The installation instructions state:
"Before proceeding to the Admin Control Panel, you must delete the 'install/install.php' and 'install/upgrade1.php' files from your webserver."
How much of a problem would it be if these were accidentally re-uploaded at a later date? In other words, should I delete them in my local copy as well to help make sure that I don't accidentally re-upload them later, or is it possible that I will need them again later on?
Thanks!
PS: Soon after posting this message, I got hit with a bunch of random requests for registration pages on my forum, even though I should be the only one who knows about the forum right now. I know this because I got some database error emails when I wasn't even browsing. It looks like somebody is monitoring this forum to find people with new installations that they can exploit. The IP address in question is 58.65.239.222 (http://58.65.239.222/) which I traced to Hong Kong. You guys should be aware of this...
