RSS feeds img tag error

I need to figure out why in the RSS feeds the imges are displaying like this in the posts, any ideas:

Digg This!
</img>

Perhaps because there's no </img> tag in xhtml/html meaning it's considered text and not a tag. The source should use <img> or <img /> - there's no closing tag for img.
