Newbee here....

I have a banner code that I need to install at the bottom of my forum pages.

The instructions say:

"The easiest way to install the banner code is to open your webpage in a text editor like notepad or wordpad, choose the location where you want the banner to appear, and paste the code into your webpage."

Ok, do I paste the code info on notepad and save it with a name?

Then do I go to my HostGator control panel and open File Manager?

Then do I click on "Upload Files" and then browse for the file name from notepad and upload it?

If so, where does it go, and how does it get to the bottom of the forum page?

In this case, you take the code you want and paste it into the template of the location you want it to appear. In other words, you'd need to edit the footer template and paste the code there.

EDIT: Actually, because you're using 3.7, you can just paste the code into the ad_footer_start location I believe.

I have the above on my forum's control panel, but I'm clueless as to where to start, or if that is even the right place?
