Calendar upgrades

I wanted to know if the calendar been touched at all since version 3.6.3.
We use the calendar function to list the event trainings we have coming up:

However using this function is very tedious. When I'm entering in dates for a month other than the current month, it always revert back to the current month/date/year even when I'm viewing a different month in a different year.

Which means every event that I try to enter I have to go change the month in the drop down (if I remember) change the date and then to top it off I gotta make sure the year is correct. I found myself running into this issue when entering dates for 08 while still in 07.

Did you guys change this at all? I was wondering because this will determine if we upgrade to the current version or go with some other software. Just seems to me it should be a + sign on each date that u can click and then add whatever you want. Or maybe that's just too simple? (lol) Please tell me this has been changed!

The calendar is like a bastard child of vbulletin ;) they rarely make any improvements to it and there have been requests (eg. attachments)...

The last i have seen about the calendar is that VB4 will have a revamped version of the calendar... so don't expect any significant changes soon... it is unfortunate though... alot of ppl can really utilize it more if their were more features...

Thats very unfortunate. :mad: Seem like an easy task. Do you know of any portal software or hacks that made the calendar more user friendly?

There aint alot... i think the last one was for version 3.5... definetly nothing recently... ppl have started some good hacks but once communication came out that the calendar might be a standalone add-on and rewritten in VB4 then ppl stopped doing hacks...

attachment hack was the best one but it was abandoned...
