Editing a post

When one of my moderators tried to edit a post, and then submit it, he received the following message;

The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 4 characters.

Any ideas why?

That depends on what he did exactly and the post.

This is what he said;

I wrapped the text in quotes and added the authors details and the link. I then clicked the save button and received the error message. I tried this several times and got the same response.

I then took the authors details out of the quote box and placed them just above it. I was then able to save it.

very strange I must say.

I`ve just had the same error.

I wrote a piece of text, put it in quote tags, and got the error above. It seems you have to write something that`s not in quote tags for it to submit.

Go to vb options > Message Posting & Editing > Ignore Words in [QUOTE] Tags For Min Chars Check .
